1. Who we are
This policy explains how Saffron Grants Foundation, Inc. (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information through saffrongrants.com and the Saffron Grants program.
2. What we collect
- Application details: your name, contact details and role, plus information about your business, your request, your budget, your written answers and any documents you upload.
- Optional answers: the ownership questions you choose to answer, and how you heard about us.
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form or by email.
- Technical data: a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and your browser type, kept to stop fraud and abuse.
The application does not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or card numbers. If you become a finalist or winner, we collect what we need to check your business and pay the grant through a secure process, never by regular email.
3. How we use it
- to review applications, choose winners and pay grants;
- to contact you about your application and, if you agree, about future cycles;
- to check eligibility and prevent fraud;
- to report on the program as a whole, for example how many businesses applied from each state.
4. Who sees it
Our staff and reviewers see the application details they need for their work. Reviewers never see the optional ownership answers. Companies that host this website and send our email handle data for us under agreements that limit what they can do with it. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
5. How long we keep it
We keep applications for up to three years after the cycle closes, and records of grants we award for as long as the law requires. We delete documents from applicants who weren’t chosen 12 months after the cycle closes.
6. Security
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), staff accounts are password protected, and only people who need applications can see them. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send information we haven’t asked for.
7. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop getting emails from us, by writing to hello@saffrongrants.com. Deleting an application withdraws it.
8. Children
The program is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with an updated date.
